Jade Fountain Café is a chinese restaurant in Sacramento, California. In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Sacramento; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 10 am–8:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (916) 451-8339. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 338 reviews, which is a strong result for a chinese restaurant in Sacramento and suggests consistent service.

Customer service was terrible. She tried to have my dad order something he didn't want after he told her what he wanted. Never offered to refill our water. The broccoli beef was soggy and meat was floppy. Got mad when i didnt tip and practically threw my togo box at me lol. Never going back

Coming from the bay this place hits! Jook / rice porridge is on point in terms of flavor. Good value and amount of meat Aunties on point English speakers here you come for the food No thrills interior Let the food do the talking Service is above standard for a place like this Seems like they know names of long time customers Porridge breaks 10 minutes later. Maybe better in the am Soup fully break 20 minutes. It's the best in Sacramento so I'm ok with that. You get crazy amount of meat inside Aww customer share celebration dessert with workers here.

The sautéed grouper fillet and black pepper short ribs were both really good. The blanched pork liver was sliced very thin and tender, but I think I might’ve tasted something like meat tenderizer? Not entirely sure, just a slightly odd aftertaste. Maybe it would be better stir fried. The pan fried noodles were interesting, nice and crispy. Overall, the food wasn’t too salty. The menu is pretty extensive, mostly home style Cantonese seafood and stir fries. I’d guess you’re safe sticking with fresh meats and seafood. Next time, I definitely want to try my favorite chow fun.

Tried: pan-fried pomfret fish was decent; the wonton was ok, broth was plain, pig feet was good, porride was good but the intestines tasted off. Reasonable price, decent service, and interior. The restaurant has a few reserved parking spots out front, which is nice.

Modest medium sized Chinese restaurant with great flavors. I have been going regularly for the past year and the cooking is very consistent. This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in town. My favorite dish is the Salt Pepper Filet Sole. It is on the family style menu, not the a la carte menu, but ask for it and they will make it. Trust me you will not be disappointed. It's so good. Crisp on the outside; moist, tender and flavorful on the inside. I also recommend their Peking spare ribs, honey walnut shrimp, sweet and sour chicken, broccoli beef, and beef chow fun, and spare ribs with salt and pepper. Parking can be a little difficult at busy times, but you can park along Freeport or in the neighborhood near by.
